Premium Large Corian Temple with 3D Backlit Pillars and 3D Carved Dome
This large mandir puts traditional Indian shikhar architecture at its centre — a carved 3D dome above, flanked by two 3D backlit pillars, with a classic arched entry framing the deity chamber. The dome is built in four stacked Corian tiers, each hand-chiselled with shikhar-proportion arches before assembly. Nothing about this unit is flat or minimalist; every surface is carved, layered or illuminated. The archetype is built for villa shrine rooms, ashram main sanctums, housing-society heritage pooja halls, and overseas ISKCON or Hindu community temples that want a sculptural mandir rather than a cabinet. Manufactured by Satguru Creations, Mumbai's first Corian mandir manufacturer since 1975, with 10,000+ installations across India and export to USA, UK, Canada and Australia.
Design styles
Traditional shikhar plus 3D backlit pillars anchors four large-hall contexts: (1) heritage villa inner shrine room — ivory Corian, full shikhar tiers, warm-white backlight; (2) large housing-society heritage pooja hall — restrained shikhar, lockable plinth, dual-tone palette; (3) overseas ISKCON or Hindu community main sanctum — taller shikhar with five tiers, knock-down panels; (4) ashram traditional sanctum or derasar — full carved dome, multi-deity stepped mokla platform, hand-carved pillar relief. The dome tiers are proportioned to classical shikhar ratios — base wider than cap, each tier 15% smaller than the one below, so the eye travels upward the way it does on a stone temple.
Shikhar dome tiers and 3D backlit pillar craft
The dome is built as four stacked Corian tiers, each CNC-roughed then hand-carved with shikhar-arch relief. Each tier is bonded to the next with a colour-matched Corian seam that is chemically sanded flat. The pillars are tapered round blanks, CNC-roughed, lathe-finished, hand-relieved with 3D lotus-kalash motifs, then fitted with concealed warm-white SMD strips behind a 3 mm recess. This gives the pillar a halo that frames the 3D carving rather than washing it out. The classic arch between the pillars carries its own backlight loom and is cut from a single large Corian blank so there is no central seam. Sub-frame is reinforced galvanised steel; panels break down modular for lift or container transport; GST invoice supplied.
Material and finish
Genuine DuPont-grade Corian, non-porous, seam-bondable, thermally stable, resistant to yellowing, over 40 shade codes. This archetype reads best in Warm Ivory, Glacier White or dual-tone Ivory-plus-Canvas. Gold leaf optional on shikhar tier bands. Shikhar relief carving is 6–8 mm deep — the maximum Corian can take without sub-surface fracture. Compared to marble shikhar, one-third the weight, no chipping of ornament, full reassembly after relocation. Compared to teak, no warping across coastal, desert or high-altitude export climates. Never PVC-acrylic.

Why Satguru Creations
A stacked shikhar dome with 3D backlit pillars is the most architecturally demanding Corian temple you can build — dome tiers must bond seamlessly, pillars must lathe-finish as pure rounds, and the backlight must not wash out the relief. We have been doing that work since 1975, Mumbai's first Corian mandir manufacturer, 10,000+ installations, 4.8/5 across 291 verified reviews. Our artisan team has a combined 200+ years of Corian experience. GST invoice, HSN export paperwork, and a lifetime consultation guarantee on every commercial unit.
Expertise
Three generations of the founding family. In-house architects apply agama-shastra and Vastu proportion to shikhar ratios. Six senior Corian carvers with 15–30 years each handle shikhar tier relief, pillar turning, and arch cutting. Licensed electrician vets every pillar and arch LED loom. Production engineer signs off commercial sub-frames for temple-hall and XL sizes. Site team liaises with society secretaries, ashram trustees, and overseas temple committees directly.
Order

Frequently asked questions
Q: How are the dome tiers bonded so no seam shows?
Each tier sits on a chemically bonded Corian seam, then hand-sanded and polished flat. Seams read as a single continuous shikhar silhouette; this is what DuPont-grade Corian allows and cheap substitutes do not.
Q: Can the dome have five tiers for an overseas community temple?
Yes. Three tiers compact, four tiers standard, five tiers premium. XL sizes with 12-foot ceiling clearance take five-tier comfortably. Ceiling-height drawings required.
Q: Are the pillars solid turned round or half-rounds bonded onto flats?
Solid turned round on our five-point steady-rest lathe jig, hand-sanded through five grits. No bonded half-rounds, no visible seams on the pillar.
Q: Does a GST invoice come with this for a trust or society order?
Yes. Full GST invoice in the trust, society or company name with HSN coding. Export orders include commercial invoice and HSN export declaration.
Q: Can this ship knock-down to a USA ISKCON or ashram?
Yes. Modular shikhar tiers, pillars, arch and sub-frame crate flat in a 20-foot container. Numbered parts, assembly video, WhatsApp-video remote support on install day.
Q: What ceiling height is needed for the temple-hall size?
The temple-hall 132″ height needs at least 12 feet of free ceiling. For 11-foot ceilings we reduce to three tiers and shorten pillar height without changing the design language.
